Will yoga help me be less forgetful?

That’s a really great question! I think that a lot of meditation practices are helpful for people to build focus in their everyday lives. Taking the time to do something good for yourself doesn’t have to be a luxury, for we operate better and communicate better when we are not feeling overwrought with our own tensions. Yoga can alleviate physical and mental tension… and you know that you aren’t going to leave the class without your body remaining perfectly still for at least five minutes! So yes, I think yoga helps people to be more cognizant and present in their day to day happenings, and as a result, less forgetful. – ShantiB

I agree with Shanti! Yoga has helped me in so many ways. If nothing else, I have the opportunity to stop, turn off my cell phone, and work in harmony with my breath and my body. I focus only on me. With that little bit of time spent dedicated to myself each day, I feel more obligated to give to the rest of the world when I am not on my mat. – Liza

Hmmmm, I have seen studies on how practicing Transcendental Meditation helped University students perform better, but what the ladies above state also makes sense to me. – KevinMD
