Is savasana the most important posture?

It is in a way, because it is the pose where you harvest the benefits of your practice. It’s when all of the postures sink into your organs. It also allows you to have a solid transition between asana and the rest of your day. It allows people to slow down and take a few moments to just stop. Which not enough of us would do otherwise.

Savasana is the opportunity for people to take advantage of a moment where they don’t have anything to think or do or say. It is a great and important part of asana practice. I really feel that people aren’t getting the full benefit of the class if they are running out during savasana.
