What should someone do who has really, really bad ankles? I have torn ligaments in my ankles.

I think you should avoid postures like Prasarita Paddottanasana and balancing postures like Vrksasana and Ardha Chandrasana. These will only exacerbate your issue!

Do you do ankle rolls? When I injured my ankle my Physical Therapist recommended that I do ankle stretches twice a day. Point the toe and flex foot many times, make circles with your ankle. Then try spelling the entire alphabet, in lower case and in capital letters, twice a day with each foot. This is said to bring your ankle to all ranges of motion. I hope this helps!

Yes I agree, do lots of ankle stretches and don’t ever do anything that feels like it hurts.
