Have any of you undertaken a fast while continuing daily yoga practice?

I did! I fasted for over a weekend, sixty hours, and found that I needed to keep my own practice rather than going to a class. I just wanted to focus on what my body needed and what it had to do. I found following cues of an instructor to be straining on me. I wanted to move slower. So the next day I just did some restorative stuff instead. It was really lovely, and it made me feel like I didn’t have to sweat or strain to keep up my daily practice.

I did the master cleanse and for the first few days I could keep everything normal. After that, it became increasingly difficult to work or do anything, so it was important for me not to harp too strongly on keeping up my practice. My priority shifted to the fast, and I took my practice back the following week when I was off the fast. I didn’t feel like I was betraying any part of myself, but rather reprioritizing my focus, and adapting. I find that to be very helpful and along with the yogic philosophy of giving yourself what you need.
