Hello. I wanted to know what do you think of using Yoga for medical illnesses and injuries. I am a medical student interested in learning about the therapies available.

As a medical student, I think it’s really important you start taking yoga so you can understand more deeply the way it affects your body and mind. Taking yoga class is a very wonderful and therapeutic way to deal with any element in your life that brings stress, be it an injury or an emotional trauma. You will better be able to direct people to it if you really understand it personally in yourself.

I agree with Kumara, I think people from all walks of life can benefit from yoga. Yoga has something for everyone, even if it’s just about feeling good, or something deeper like healing a broken heart or coming out of substance abuse. I have seen all types of people, from homeless moms to fortune 500 VPs, benefit from yoga.

I have scoliosis and yoga really helped me feel better in my body. I have seen a difference in mobility, flexibility, and alignment since I started practicing. It definitely helps a lot of different types of ailments.
