In our lives, we need to do everything possible to reach our goals, to make a good decision, keeping in mind that we may not always be right. But commitment takes courage.
Sometimes don’t take the necessary the time to process all the facts, analyze the risks, build a plan, may lead us in not to take the proper decision.
Sometimes we just have to jump and follow our instincts, without thinking or analyzing too much, believing more in our hearts and taking a risk.
A friend of mine just told me yesterday: “The problem is that we think too much with the head…it’s not that we don’t have to use it, but there are thing that do not need to be though about but need to be felt.”
Why do we analyze some things so extensively? Most likely it is because we are afraid.
Fear can keep us from moving forward. Think about all of the opportunities that you missed in your life. Think about all those goals and dreams you once had that are now forgotten or were put aside because you were comfortable in your situation or you thought they were too difficult to reach or too complicated, requiring too much effort, too much money, too much time, and so on. Have you ever wondered what would happen with them if you just followed your heart and at least tried to make them real?
Safety is good because it protects us from pain, deception and rejection, but it also keeps us away from our inner wisdom, our true essence.
Next time, don’t think about what “ifs”. Only think, or feel, about prevailing and winning. Remove the obstacles and excuses. Listen to your inner voice. Leave your fear and regrets behind and move in the direction you really want to go. Fully commit to your dreams, to you. Surrender to no one or nothing, and you will get where you want to go.
