During our short stay in this ephemeral world, we often sense, feel and think in illusory terms. Humans have created the concept that all things – love, money, friendship, and even our own lives are everlasting. We issue harsh criticism to the entireties of the world as if only extremes exist: black and white; absolutely wrong or absolutely right; good and bad; beautiful and ugly. We willingly allow our emotions to govern our destiny. Money, status, and power will fade, yet we dedicate lifelong pursuits to these causes. It is assumed the tangible elements that seemingly create our happiness will exist indefinitely. The limitations of our consciousness have left us unable to assess reality. All things but the Order of the Universe are ephemeras. We must learn to relish the present moment, for any second its defining factors could be gone. Beyond the vicissitudes of life, we must develop infinite faith in the Order of the Universe. Like the sun, it will never cease to shine, and will shine again following the worst of storms.
