When we truly think about what we know, we realize that we are ignorant of everything and, most important, that we are ignorant about life. We cannot know what may happen to us in the next moment, what we may be doing next month or next year, how long we are going to live, etc. We may feel disappointed when we look for something we really want and instead find the opposite. We do not know why we came to this world, or what we should do in it.
Life is constant ignorance. The more we learn, the greater our ignorance. To know that we are ignorant is the beginning of our awareness of what life is and our understanding of what we are. When we realize our ignorance, we accept whatever happens around us and adapt to our surroundings and environment. Our path toward happiness begins when we deeply reflect on our ignorance, when we are humble and modest. This is the shortest way to obtain complete freedom of life.
