This meditation gives you a calm mind and strong nerves. It will help to protect you from irrationality.
- Sit in easy pose with the spine straight.
- Hold the right hand at the ear level with the tip of the thumb and the tip of the ring finger touching (the fingernails don’t touch).
- Place the left hand in the lap with the tip of the thumb and the tip of the little finger touching. Women should reverse the position so that the left hand has the thumb and ring finger touching with the hand at ear level, and the right hand is in the lap with the thumb and little finger touching.
- The eyes are open one-tenth of the way.
- Breathe long, deeply and slowly.
Start with 11 minutes, working up to 31 minutes.
To end the meditation, inhale deeply, open the fingers, raise the hands and shake them rapidly for several minutes.
